Something our generation lacks

 It feels surreal how our generation, also known as Genz, has access to many new things, concepts, and platforms to showcase themselves. However, even after being a generation that has always been up there, has opinions, takes care of themselves, and likes to invest in their lifestyle and their standard of living, one thing that's lacking in most of us I feel is 'AUTHENTICITY'. No matter how well dressed up we always are, and how productive we want to be in our day, one thing we always leave behind is being ourselves. All of us are stuck in a rat race, trying to be better than the other one, continuously comparing our abilities to others. 

Everyone needs to realize that it's the imperfections that make us unique and different. It's not always necessary to put that makeup on, because it's the acne scars, the pigmentation, and the texture that makes us beautiful. Just because another person has some more knowledge than you doesn't mean that you're dumb, you are maybe better at something else that you love.

We're just trying to fit in somewhere by being someone we're not. Even with friends, we are showcasing a person that's not us, it's a mask or an illusion that's made up just to fit in that group of people because we don't want to be alone. 

Instead of working on ourselves and trying to improve, we tend to change our personality to someone we're not. In the fear of being alone and losing someone or being with someone, we forget to love ourselves, not just for our accomplishments and features but also for our failures and flawed versions. 

Be genuine and true to yourself, accept who you are, and try to improve yourself every day while retaining the authentic you.
